He is formerly Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum cooperation (NNPC). He has B.Sc Geology in 1971, a post graduate Diploma in Geology/Physics in 1973.
He was Chairman, Board of Directors of the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (1999-2003); Chairman Board of Directors of the West African Gas Pipeline company Limited, Chairman Steering committee for the Brass Liquefied Natural Gas project (2003). Presently, he is the Chairman of EMGS Nigeria.
His recent appointment is Chairman Board of Directors for Brass LNG. Member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (MAAPG), Fellow of the Nigerian Mining & Geosciences Society (FNMGS), fellow of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (FNAPE) Fellow of the Petroleum Institute (FPTI), member of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA).
Chukwuma Henry Okolo is the vice Chairman & CEO – Dorman Long Engineering Limited and Chairman – Nigerian Content Consultative Forum, Fabrication Group.
He has had his career predominantly in the industry. He led the turnaround of UTC Nigeria plc as Group Managing Director & CEO between 2001 and 2004. He served as Group Executive Director, Inlaks Group. He is still serving on the Boards of several companies including First Alumimium Nigeria plc, C & I Leasing (Vice Chairman), Inlaks Computers, Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) etc.
He is a member of the Presidental Committee on Deep seaports for the Oil and Gas Industry. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a fellow of the British and Nigerian Institutes. He graduated from University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1978 and has subsequently attended advanced management programs at North Western University Kellogg School of Management.
Chukwuma Henry Okolo is a regular speaker at various Oil & Gas Forums on the subject of Nigerian content Development.
Managing Director of Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited. He has 20 years of investment banking experience gained from work in various areas of corporate finance: mergers and acquisitions projects/structured finance and debt/equity capital markets activities. His industry specialization include the telecommunications, media, financial services and general Industrial sectors. Ike commenced his investment banking career in 1991 at Goldman Sachs in New York before moving Citigroup’s Corporate & Investment Bank in London in1998 where his last assignment was head of their Sub-Saharan Africa investment banking coverage. Ike joined Afrinvest in 2002.
Managing Director of Derate Nigeria ltd. He has been involved in the Oil industry since 1976. Participated in the commissioning of NNPC Warri Refinery as a production-programming Officer. Left the refinery in 1985 as Oil Movement Superintendent. He resumed in NNPC (PPMC) as supply and Distribution Manager and retired as the Commercial Manager.
Since 1993 to date, he has been running his company, Derate Nigeria Limited which involved consulting and represents international companies engaged in crude Oil export and Products supplies to NNPC.
